How It Works
There are two possible scenarios for legal translations in the UAE:
1. Documents issued outside the UAE and destined for the UAE
In this case a legal document must be attested by the UAE embassy in the country of origin (for instance, documents issued in Italy need to be attested by the UAE embassy in Rome). Then, the document arrives in the UAE, where it must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). After the completion of these steps, we can have the document translated by one of our certified translators. Then, we affix our legal stamp and signature certifying the accuracy of the translation and take the translated document to the UAE Ministry of Justice to have it attested if needed.
2. Documents issued in the UAE and destined for foreign countries
Before translation, any legal document must be signed and stamped by the UAE institution, organization or private individual who issued the document as well as by the competent legalization authority (e.g. the Notary Public or the Economic Department). Subsequently, the document must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and eventually by the consulate or embassy of the country where the document will be used. After the completion of these steps, we can have the document translated by one of our certified translators and we can affix our legal stamp and signature on the translation.
2. Documents issued in the UAE and destined for foreign countries
