Held on November 18–19, 2024, at the Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City in Riyadh, the Misk Global Forum (MGF) drew over 20,000 participants across two vibrant days of conversation, collaboration, and connection. As the largest youth forum in the region, MGF 2024 brought together a diverse global community of young changemakers, innovators, and entrepreneurs under the theme “By Youth, For Youth.”

Langpros was honored to provide Arabic–English simultaneous interpreting across the entire forum, supporting live multilingual communication in all four official session spaces: The Stage, Leaders Diwan, AlMajlis, and Youth Bayt.

Objectives

• Ensure seamless interpreting services across four dynamic venues, each designed with a unique atmosphere and purpose.
• Enable real-time interpretation both on-site via headsets and provide clean audio channlese online via live streaming.
• Maintain high quality of interpretation despite the large scale of the event, unstable internet, evolving agenda and complex logistics.

Solution

Langpros designed a fully customized interpreting infrastructure tailored to the architectural and experiential design of MGF:

• All interpreters worked on-site in a dedicated central interpreting hub, professionally soundproofed and managed, guaranteeing real-time relay to all four rooms through wired and wireless transmissions.
• One transmitter was strategically placed in each of the four rooms to guarantee strong signal coverage despite the event’s expansive layouts and open spatial designs.
• Attendees accessed interpretation via receivers and headsets, while the online audience benefited from a live-streaming solution that embedded interpretation channels directly into the forum’s video streaming feed.

Challenges and Overcoming Strategies

• Scale & Density: With over 20,000 people attending across two days, managing receiver distribution, avoiding signal overlap, and maintaining equipment availability were major challenges. Our experienced on-site team of technicians and hostesses ensured smooth headset circulation and rapid troubleshooting.
• Logistics: Coordinating interpretation across four distinct locations in a large, newly inaugurated venue posed timing and coordination difficulties. Langpros resolved this through detailed pre-event mapping, dry runs, and close collaboration with the event’s technical production team.
